Apple + Turnip Casserole

Ingredients

  • 16oz Turnip Noodles*
  • 16oz ground pork or sausage
  • 3 granny smith apple
  • 1 T curry powder
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Pre heat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a casserole dish. Wash, core, and cut apples into matchsticks. 

Assemble

Brown ground pork in a pan, drain excess fat, and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add turnip noodles and apples to bowl with ground pork. Add apple cider and curry powder and mix all ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Season with salt to taste. Transfer into greased casserole dish and cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with walnuts. Return to oven to bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
